Today, the National Black Empowerment Action Fund (NBEAF), an advocacy organization dedicated to the economic, educational, and social uplift of Black communities, announced its official launch in six major African American metropolitan hubs across the country: Atlanta, Detroit, Memphis, Minneapolis, New York City, and St. Louis. NBEAF’s priorities in these cities will be to cultivate a new generation of Black political and civic leaders, advocate for common-sense economic, educational, and public safety policies, and ensure elected officials faithfully represent the interests of Black communities.
Former Gov. Cuomo is teaming up with black leaders to challenge woke progressives in New York City and around the country.
“The National Black Empowerment Action Fund is an organization that will meet the moment by putting realistic solutions over theoretical ideas and empowering Black people across the country,” Cuomo said. “I am excited to work with NBEAF and other like-minded groups to build a political movement for real progress – not extreme ideology.”
“Governor Cuomo is right on: Black communities don’t want to get rid of the police, we need more and better-trained police who have a mutually respectful relationship with us. People of color are the victims of the overwhelming majority of crimes, yet radical socialist elected officials are trying to distract us with catchy slogans.”
